AQUARIAN AGE LIVE @ 12 BAR CLUB, LONDON, UK

We were invited to play at the Artistlaunch Showcase at the 12 bar club in London together with Aly Cook (New Zealand), Jeza (UK), Gustav Bertha (Switzerland) and Susan Raven (UK). It was really fun playing there and meet other artists we knew just from the internet.

The 12 bar club itself is divided in 3 rooms, beginning with a restaurant, then comes a nice bar and in the back there is a room with their stage, which is kinda strange. This room has a balcony which begins right next to the artists head when you are on stage, so when one wants to communicate with the crowd below you have to bend your knees to see them (and the audience in the back just listens to the music and probably watches the artists feet or so). On the other hand on the balcony one can have a real close look at the musicians...weird.

OK, as a starter here is a little roadmovie, with parts of our gig, Jeza, Susan Raven, Gustav Bertha in it too, and of course our little walk through London at 1am with Aly Cook: The Aquarian Age road to London (60mb, wmv). Have fun!

A first review of our gig there posted by Susan Raven / Satch Norton on the AL board:
"Now for some funk rock.... being far too 'in earnest' to be 'cool' myself, I am always in awe and envy of those who have that innate ability in all that they do. Aquarian Age have COOL in abundance, their set was flawless, they took the failings of the 12 Bar equipment in their stride and settled into a well-honed groove within seconds. Vocalist Christian sounds a little like one of my heroes, Steve Winwood, and as for the rhythm section, they were seriously impressive. Gentlemen... here's hoping a large helping of success hurls its way towards you very soon, you deserve it."

On June 24, 2006 midnight Gustav Bertha made an interview with Chris for the Way Past Bedtime radioshow and podcast. The talk went from football to the London gig, from music to kids, from the past to the future...is broadcasted as episode 17 and is in fact nearly 60 mins long. The show also contains two Aquarian Age songs and is available by clicking on the link above. I highly recommend to listen to this show regularly!

And there is much more to come, so check back!!!
